WELCOME TO THE PORTSMOUTH IRISH SOCIETY WEBPAGE

WELCOME TO THE PORTSMOUTH IRISH SOCIETY WEBPAGE

As we move slowly back to a form of normality,  we are pleased to say that a normal bar service for the members bar has been resumed in the respect that members may order at the bar and table service is no longer required* our opening hours stay the same at present but may be reviewed shortly and may change  with little notice depending on patronage. Similarly, although we have extended closing time, we will shut earlier if there are few customers.

Government restrictions may have been lifted HOWEVER as a club , we  are obliged to protect our members and guests therefore:

 Any member or guest who feels uncomfortable visiting the members bar with no restrictions can request table service from staff wearing face masks when serving them.

 The back and front bar areas and tables/work surfaces will be sanitised daily and during the day when open.

 The back hall area will be used for Bingo to provide a larger and safer environment for our members and players, drinks can still be ordered at the members bar and, table service can be offered on request.

 The back area is now segregated from the members bar in relation to private hall hire functions and events.. this means that anyone using the back hall may not enter the members bar/toilets at any time, again, this is to protect the safety of our members.

 All of the staff at the club are Covid tested 3 times a week as of 28/7/2021.

 Track and trace will still apply for any visitors for events in main back hall.

As a club, please be assured we treat our members and guests safety as paramount. if you have any concerns relating to the lifting of restrictions and how if affects you as a club member, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Here’s to happy and safer times for us all!
